    Default Rod holder installation question.

My Hi-tek rod holders will be in this week and have a question about the installation. I plan on pushing as well as trolling with them, I did not order extra bases. Can they be mounted say at 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock for pushing and then just loosen the T bar and turn it so the rod holders will be say at 9 o'clock for trolling? I see some folks have extra bases for the 2 methods of fishing. If you all have some pics of you holders mounted I would like to see some ideas. Thanks for the help.

I push and pull with mine at the same time. You just adjust the actual holders themselves instead of the T-bar. I push one pole from each side with the rod pointed forward around 45 degrees and pull with three out each side with the rods pointed straight out the side or 90 degrees. You'll love your HiTeks.

You can adjust the T bar in any position that you want.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I push from the front and pull from the back, but I'm sure you will figure out how to make it work. ALOT of people pull from the front and back at the same time.

You might have to learn your boat some before placing them, but it's easy. I can tell you the way I did mine. Get all your holders and a couple of rods and climb in the boat. The rod length isn't important at this point, you're just using them for a picture in your mind. Once you have all you think you might need, send everyone away and climb in the boat and take about 20 minutes to fish in your mind. Questions like how far from my knees do they need to be so that I can get up and put a fish in the box without knocking things around and still reach them comfortably. If anyone is watching you they're gonna call the happy wagon for you cuz ya look goofy. Lift the TM and see what to do to make it clear. Can you still open the hatches? Cooler? You get the idea. A couple of minutes might do it, but I took a bit longer, along with a rash of **** from my wife. Remember me saying to send everyone away? I learn from experience. Doing this from outside the boat just didn't work for me, I didn't put them where I thought I should when I was on the ground. You're gonna love your Hi-Teks. I have 4 sets of 4.
