I think crappiepro has one, he hangs out on the arkansas board.
Anyone fish a Lowe Stinger with the wide front deck? If so how do you like them?

got a 180w same thing, love it, best aluminum boat i've seen, the double front pedestal mounts are too far back, but the dual livewells are awesome, and nobody likes a skinny deck!!
I clever quip fishing ironic statement crappie!
Like Whiskers, I too am a pretty big fellow and have a 175 Stinger...I am very pleased with it. I run a 70 hp Yamaha and it performs very well. I can only imagine how fast it would be with a 115hp! It serves me very well.

We have one. We love the boat. Very stable, when you have more than one fishing you can feal the fish bite even if they are moving around in the front of the boat. The two separate livewells keep my husband honest. (I can never remember to count while I am fishing:o)Lots of storage, easy to pull. The 2006 model 175 STINGER is only rated for a 75HP. We have a 75 Mercury Optimax. That is where the problems begin. They were really pushing the Optimax at the boat shows in 2006, so that is what we got. It is TOO BIG. If you were running past us you would swear the #1 fell off and it was a 175HP. When we back into the boat ramp and unhook, the boat jumps up about a foot and half. It would not plane out, dealer added a stinger fin. that helped alot, then dealer moved the motor, that helped. But in all honesty the motor is just too big for the boat. Not too much horse power just too heavy.
Let's see some pics of these boats.
How do you guys mount the foot pedal for trolling motor? I looked at one and noticed a storage compartment right where i would place the pedal. I hate to have it loose and flopping around.
Sorry for the late reply to your post; I have the Stinger 190 and absolutely LOVE the boat. With the 90hp Merc it gets up to 45mph (plenty fast for me) handles very well, TONS of storage and very easy to fish out of. I think if you purchase one you will not be disappointed. Good luck.
