    Default California Crappie

Caught these at lake Piru suspended 25-35 feet in 80 feet of water. Guess our fish haven't moved shallow for the fall yet.

    Very Nice.
I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin' and hook up with them later.

Piru huh.... 25-30ft down over an 80ft bottom... does that lake have a thermocline? As soon as they switch over to the winter schedule and kick the "water contact sports" folks off the lake I am going to start hitting El Capitan. I have high hopes for some big crappie. They had all of 2010 to grow and nobody caught them so they should be ripe.
