to be the best you have to beat the best...bring it on boys....its only been a few decades since you were in this conversation I think losing Clemente is going hurt much more than most KSU fans think....everyone thinks they are leaps and bounds better than last year already....Clemente brourght a lot to the table. KSU overachieved their expectations last year. It will be interesting how they react with the target being on their back....

Chad, Denny was a good player but we will have one of the best back courts in the nation (Kelly, Asprea (who is unfreaking believeable), Judge and a 7 footer that has put on 20 lbs playing 4th) which will take a lot of pressure off of the gaurds. Jake won't have to do near as much this year and McGruder was the USA JR team leader in scoring. He can step in and hit a few good shots so this team not going to miss a beat. KSU is very very deep at all positions. They won't win them all but they will be good make no mistake. Anyway, UK lost 50% of it's scoring last year and has to replace a lot more then KSU does. You guys will know more but my insiders are not saying anything good about Selby playing this year. I also think the ego's you have will be a problem if you start losing a few games. I do agree with you that until someone steps up and takes it from UK I would have voted them first. But who cares, basketball is pointless until Dec anyway.

I am not saying that KSU shouldn't be picked #1 b/c they probably do based on what is coming back. However it just cracks me up that everyone assumes they are a lock for the Final 4 because they had a good run last year. Its a lot different placing as the hunted rather than the hunter. Oh and its KU, not UK . I think there is still a lot more unknown with KSU than people think.

Preseason polls are nothing more than a space filler for the media. They are just intended to get people talking about basketball before there is really even anything to discuss. Bring On The Cats! Then we'll see who is #1.

It is BS to vote anybody other than last year's champion #1 in a preseason poll. And, gosh, they were not too accurate last season if they thought Texas was the best team in the Big 12.

It still chaps my azz that we lost to KU 3 times last season. I sure hope we get a chance to return the favor. Maybe win the football game next Thursday and then make it a clean sweep in basketball too. That would be sweet!:D
