    Default Project Crappie in Progress

Just bought my winter project today.Spent $500 to make me my wonder boat. It's a 16 footer and already I want to take it out, lol.Came with an older Johnson 25 hp tiller, already traded that one in on a 96 Johnson 25 tiller.Glad that the economy is bad right now, just for that reason. It can get better now. This Friday I'm going to tear it down and give it a new green paint job. Then the planning will begin.I'm open for some good suggestions on how to fix it up for the Ultimate Crappie boat.I'm going to keep this thread going until it's done.

Looks like a good way to hold off the winter doldrums. I'd loose the fixed pedestals and go with bases after you get the deck redone.

Wiring no the trailer and repacking the bearings would be first on my list though. Make sure your tire tool will fit them lugs too.

Looks like you are in for a fun winter. Here are a couple of before and after pics of the 16 footer that occupied my time last winter. I had a blast...

Already traded it for something bigger (wider). Looking forward to working on it over the course of this winter!!!

Deck length was actually out of necessity, to keep from having to cut 2 of the bench seats out (I removed 1), and still allow me some dry storage space. Ended up really liking it.
