    Default Wappapello Saturday 10-02

Talltimber had to cancel on me due to a irritating habit called work, so I went alone. Ran into Slabber Dave at Millie's bait shop. He gave me some good info. I went to Chonia and put in. Running a little late, didnt get in the water till a little after 7. Ran up to Otter Creek. Beautiful morning. Crisp air, no wind, a little fog rising off the water. Started slow trolling 4 poles (thats all I care to keep up with). 2 poles with jigs and 2 poles with minnows. They were tearing up minnows and hardly touching the jigs. Started catching fish immediately. Even though the length limit is 9 inches, I didnt keep anything under 10. Fished Otter till about 1:00. The wind picked up and I was tired of fighting it. Headed for the ramp. Thought I had 15 or 16. They multiplied in my livewell. Cleaned 20 between 10 and 12 inches when I got home.

Sounds good, we had some bad winds here on Truman, so there is a Otter there also? old Hardhunter2 got caught in the wind here and said he has taken showers and didn't get as wet as he did trying to get back in today............

Hey bronco, I saw alot of boats along the river channel. I bet you were one of them. I found fish early in 9 feet of water about 7 feet down. as the morning went on, I was catching my better fish in 4 to 5 feet of water about 2 feet down.

Hey Speck, beautiful picture. My two favorite things about crappie fishing is feeling that "thump" and then the finished product like in your pic. Not a big fan of everything in between the two but that's part of it too. Congrats on a great day!
