Question How do you rig two batteries for 24v TM?

My pontoon has a 24 volt trolling motor. The two batteries came with the boat, but weren't hooked to the motor. I went to hook them up and found that there was only one "wire". It has a + and - ends, but not two +'s and two -'s a I expected. Soooo, I know there's a way to do this, but I am currently stumped.
