    Default Oklahoma Fall Crappie Fishin

Took a vacation day today with my fishin buddy and fished lake Oologah. The weather was fantastic today and the fishin wasn't bad either. The crappie were harder to catch today, we had to fish in the thickest portions of the brush piles to get bit. The tackle companies will be happy, we broke off a bunch of times. Lost quite a few good fish too, we just couldn't get em out of the brush. We ended the day with 42 keepers over 10 inches and a few over 14 inches. Seemed like we threw back dozens of 8 & 9" fish too. The big balls of shad were everywhere, the crappies bellies were full of them too, it's a wonder we got them to bite anything. We fished brush piles in 15 to 17ft, using jigs and minnows. A pink 1/16oz jig head and Bobby Garlands baby shad in licorice was the best jig color today. The wind was ENE and the water temp was 67 degrees around 10:00 in the morning. Sure was a fun vacation day.

I fished Oolagah today as well but didn't notice any water below 73* in Blue Creek or the main lake. Where did you see 67* water?
