    The biggest one was only 17.25-inches long and only weighed 2-pounds, 3-ounces

    those smaller ones are my favorite for eating. I like catching the big ones annd eating the little ones. nice catch
    Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
    The two loudest sounds are a gun that goes bang when it is supposed to go click and one that goes click when it is supposed to go bang.

    No, for some reason the better fish have moved a little deeper. This next cool-down should bring them shallower though. I'm out in AZ visiting my folks for the weekend and it's still HOT here. If the Weather Guessers are right, we're going to have some really nice fall weather next week with highs in the mid-70s and lows in the mid-40s.
