Default How Far for a days fishing?

How far do you travel for a days fishing? My wife thinks Im crazy. We live on a lake, but I have several others I like to fish. Approx six times in the spring and fall I'll leave home around three oclock and drive for four hours to fish somr favorite lakes. Usually fish from7:30 to about 6:00 and head for home. Getting home around 10:30. Some of you guys must make some long one day trips, right?:D:D

I'm making an annual run of 4 hours this weekend. We are going to stay the night this time, but 2 or 3 weeks later I'll be going 3 hours away for a day trip. I'm not saying this is right, nor am I...I'm just sayin

Nearest lake to me is closed down by toxic algae, next closest is 25 miles, nest is about 50, nearest musky lake is 75 (I can't get there enuff to suit me). My dad's got a place in Mi that's about 4 hours away but we usually stay the night.

For a one day trip, usually 2 hrs max. When I was single, there was no stopping me, now I have to be home when I'm told.

    Same here.
I've got new rules and a little girl who needs me more than I need to travel.

WOW, eight hours of driving time to fish one day...you have got it bad!

I occasionally travel three hrs. to go fish.... I do a 1 hr. and a half hr. trip a lot.....and then I have a bunch of 15 to 30 minute trips.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I used to travel long ways real often in my younger days, gas was cheap. Most of the time stay close to home , can be on the lake in 5 minutes.

I make 6-8 trips every year to fish in Mississippi. One lake is a 3 hour drive, another is 4 hours and the farthest is 6 hours.
