    Default Ideal Fall water temp

Is the water temp in the Fall better around 60 degrees, or what would you say is ideal in the Fall? ( as far as a better crappie bite)

We usually do real well while the water temps are falling through the 70s but when it falls through the 60s is when they really start to bunch up and eat like pigs here. That's when females start building up a supply of eggs for spawning in the spring and both males and females start building body mass so they'll be at their prime when spawning season starts.

I'll take anything in the mid-60's....spring or fall. Easier for me to remember that way!
