Default Sponsors, Member Sponsors, and Member Supporters

OK, things have changed quite a bit here on crappie.com. Here's another change I wanted to run past you all.

We now have a new option for members to remove the forums ads.
    http://www.crappie.com/crappie/payments.php
When you sign up for this I will ad Supporter to your Title (if you've already subscribed, I still have to go back through and add Supporter to your title, essentially, I just now decided to do this). This option is $17.95 per year.

The old feature, the Crappie Business Directory, is still there. That sponsorship allows members who own businesses to mention their business in their signature, and includes them in the Crappie Business Directory. With this, you will get the term "Sponsor" added to your title on the forum. This option is $49.95.

Member Supporters get the ads removed for $17.95 per year, and those members that want to mention their business can sign up for the $49.95 Crappie Business Directory as a Member Sponsor.

And then we have our full site sponsors that have given us lots of goodies I've used in the contests. They are BnM, Lindy, and TTI Blakemore. Their banners are at the top of the page, and can not be removed.

Sorry to to have become so commercial, but the site has grown to a point where it really has to be this way.

I'm not sure if you've noticed. Registered users see less ads than non-registered and non-logged in users. I think it's only fair that non-participants get the brunt of the ads. But the ads are still a necessity to pay for the site, so therefore members that would like to remove them can pay a small fee to do so. And those that want to advertise their business in their signature pay a little more. It's as fair as I can think to make it. Thank you all for your patience during all these changes.

    Other changes in progress.
I've got a new classified ads program I'm checking out. I'll likely ask Barnacle Bill to review it as well.
We have member photos available through the upgraded message board profile. But I think I'd rather install a more full featured Photo Gallery, and I'm investigating that now.
And I still need better graphics for the top of this page.
Also, I seen Crappie Pappy complain about the post icons, or emotions, so I've looked for improved versions of that, but I have not seen any.
I'm sure there's more I'm working on, but I just can't think of it now. ttyl all

How much to become a moderator? I've got a couple of scores to settle.

Keep up the good work and don't the let the boss give you a hard time.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Question as I'm all for supporting the site as it saves me more than $17 a year in time spent looking for fish.

Is there anyway you can make the space between:

Forum Crappie Fishing - Crappie.com Main Crappie Fishing Forum Sponsors, Member Sponsors, and Member Supporters

    &

Ads by Google Fall Crappie Fishing Guide Big Crappie Crappie Beds

a little wider? It really is tight in that area.

    Thanks-

I'll try centering it, that might help. But if you do the Supporting Member thing, that will completely go away.

I'm in. Have you considered a "Lifetime Supporter" option?
