Nice evening on the lake

Wife went with her sister to Minneapolis shopping, so I had the afternoon all to myself. After watching my Bears "barely" win, went out on the lake for about 3 hrs. Had to work at it, but ended up with 13 crappie and 4 white bass. The crappie are barely biting the bait. One time the only way I knew there was a fish on the other end, was the line seemed to have the wrong angle on it going in the water. Lifted it up, and ..... wow, a fish! Kind of enjoying it when the wife goes with her sister :-). Hope she doesn't buy too much, I may regret not going with.

I was having the same bite on the lake i was fishing on. Crappie would bite only on minnows and you would have to bump the brush to get them to bite.
