How deep is the water Trihull?
I need everybody's thoughts on this: Have a pontoon docked at a local commercial dock and have put brush under pontoon. Brush has been in the water about 6 weeks.
What are your thoughts about dropping some submerseable lights over the side of the pontoon (in the slip) and trying night fishing.
I know this would probably work in the summer, but what about January and Feb?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
PS
Glad the board has been cleaned up.

Shoot, I say go for it.
there's a bunch of guys from the Dallas area on another forum that I read, they rent some boat slips every winter and just fish them. the drop brush in the slip, and catch messes upon messes of crappie. Around a marina is my absolute favorite place to fish at night no matter what time of year. If the marina is well lit, you may not even need the drop lights. try it with and without to see what works best. catch a bunch...smedley

Fishing out of a boat slip in a pontoon boat? Who cares if you catch any fish. Man your electric heater works in a boat slip along with the tv or radio. Grab a buddy and go fire up the grill and cook a steak on the boat and enjoy the lake in January.
Hey, the way I look at it is, if you have cover or structure, you'll have some crappie !!
Remember, throw'em back unless ITZAKEEPER ....
If you try it let us know how it went.Who knows you might have something you want know till you try.Good luck!
