Falls Lake 9/9/10

Tried down lake yesterday from the Barton ramp. I Fished from 1:30 till 3:45 and left the fish biting. Water temp was 85F. Fish were in laydowns or brush in 15 feet of water. I was fishing 7 feet deep just over the brush. Ended up with 18. All were caught on minnows only. (I did not use jigs today).

No big slabs but fish were from 9-12"

Well thats a change from up lake. You never fish down lake that I remember. Looks like it paid off though. Nice work! How is the boat traffic these days on Falls? I just got back from a two week trip up north and hope to get out this weekend maybe. Just before I left the boats were like flees on a dog on the weekend so we didnt go. Hoping that its got a little better now. Anywho glad to see you got out and caught some on Falls no less!!! Thanks for the report.

I hear ya AP.. Did some yard work last night and woke up with a sore throat today . After reading the the thread on the vA board about weedless jig heads I'm inspired to get some.. I bet the Biguns are down in inside the brush for sure!

FC there was very little traffic on the lake till when I pulled out. School must have let out and the skiboats started comming....
