Default A Smithville that even Jackb could LOVE!

Last night the lake was absolutely deserted - Not a Jet Ski to be seen. Almost had the entire lake to myself, only 1 other trailer at the Crow’s Creek ramp. Went up to test a prop but of course ended up fishing.

Caught mostly shorts and all were about 8 to 10 foot deep on trees. The shallowest fish came from tree in 5 foot and deepest bite was about 13 feet. Stayed in the Campbranch arm and fished a black and purple jig.

Chased a HUGE Crappie around but it was stuck to the back of Brushman’s Merc. It was nice talking to Rodney again.

You are correct Bill, after Labor Day it turns into a beautiful lake and it is a pleasure to be on. Glad you had a good evening
