28 feet is the thermocline, that other black line is too defined to e a thermocline. Either your dragging a weight or you are getting a bounce signal from bottom or more---most likely its interference. Have u tried to adjust your sensitivity setting to see if it goes away.

If the line at 16 was thermocline, there would be almost no fish activity below it due to lack of oxygen. If I'm wrong please tell me, but I believe that is the way it is and it helps me find the thermocline. Mine is a 527, so the pic would be the same.

If vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what's baby oil made from?

That line at 16 feet is a cycle line from the locator. It has something to do with the speed at which the locator advances its info on screen and the camera caught it. Its nothing. The broader line below it is the thermocline and you'll notice that there are no fish seen under it.

The locator's computer registers information at a given rate per second or a certain number cycles per second....its fast enough that the eye cannot see this happening....to create the picture you see on the screen. Same as if you took a picture of your tv screen at home in the living room. Each frame the locator shows will be seperated by a line. What this pic shows is the line between frames caught in motion.
