I might try tonight if the wind dies down. No fun fishing in chop and trying to find a cove that shields you from the wind.

The weather guessers didn't miss this one! It's blowing hard around the Knob. :D

Blew hard here all day also. Way to rough to be on the lake with a bad back.

That seems to be one they never miss when they're predicting it. Now when they don't predict it that's another story. Interesting sidenote though, does everyone know why it's always so windy in Mo? Because Iowa sucks and Arkansas blows.

Yep, it most definitely WAS too rough to be on the lake. We spent the morning on Truman and it was not fun. Got off the water and felt like we'd been beat up, spent the whole day trying to keep the boat off the trees and somewhere close to where we wanted to be. Bite was not good, go figure!
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Should have checked the posts before heading out today! Would have been good info to know before fishing at Smithville. Choppy waters, only 1 keeper and woke up sore all over after the 2 hour nap I took after getting home.
