    Lots of fishin today at Smithville but not much catchin. Started up Camp Branch. Caught lots of bass jigin trees with the long pole. Caught 2 crappie. Went up Little Platte to Linn Creek but nothing. Caught one more on the main lake about dark. Lots of boats up there today.

    looked like a good day to be out, glad you caught a couple, every trip is a learning experience. keep after them they will eventually give it up.

    Kc they did open the gates which slows down the crappie bite , atleast you got out and enjoyed a great weather day.
