    Default Clinton 8/26/10

Doug and I fish the Rock Creek arm today. It was a blue bird day and I didn't see a cloud all day. Hardly any breeze at all and the slight breezes that occurred were very welcome. We fished from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm using minnows and 1/32 oz jig around trees in 4 to 12 FOW. Never really got any definitive pattern going. Had to just hold at various depths or swim the jigs or shake the jig and minnow. Had some tick tick catches and some catches were really smacked. Patience was the main requirement for today. It took extreme patience to even get tick ticks and more patience to continue working a spot after a tick tick to get a catch. I think we ended up with 19 in the ice chest with a 13 incher as the largest. It wasn't a gang busters day but we ended up with a reasonable amount of satisfaction from our efforts today.

Noticed the lake level was lower, wished I been there to witness Lee catching a fish. Doug I heard Lee up to his old tricks, back seat get the tick tick and he jumps in and catches the fish. Thanks for fishing out my spot.

Yeah Ron that fish stealing technique is a regular routine now and I still haven't learned when he asks " where was that at?" to say nothing, I'm a slow learner Of course he didn't need any help from me since he was catching them by shaking, popping, dragging, flogging, snapping, pulling, flippin g,and twirling his jig, plus a few more movements I've forgotten! Sometimes I just have to set back and watch.... dazed and confused
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!
