    Default Iowa crappie

I haven't caught too many crappie this summer. A few here and there. Been catching loads of nice gills and white bass. Well, today changed things. Walleyes weren't biting, caught a few gills, no Lg mouth bass, a few white bass, so figured to go hard after crappie. After a bit of searching, I found a brush pile in 24 ft of water that showed lots of fish on it. Figured it had to be crappie. In less than 2 hrs, limited out (that's 25 in iowa). Fishing 2 poles, several times had fish on both. Had to stay right on the brush, get a few yards to the side, no bite. Had a blast!! Think I'll fry crappie tomorrow.

Oh, by the way. Still loving the triton!!

Haven't even thought about the fall camp. When is it? It's at Loz (?). Is that a lake?
