Been in Texas about 3 weeks have not keep up on the crappie fishing at Smithville. But i do have a new Grandson. Hope to get my boat back in the next week or so. Had to take it to Lebanon Mo. to get it repainted. Jim C.

Went out with a friend today and started at Shady Hollow. Caught a small right away but lost about 4 jigs in brush. Decided to try the Trimble area since it is now open. With the lake being down, it was neat to see all the timber that is usually submerged. Went back into Rock Creek Cove and caught zero in about an hour and half. All I could think about was how much I wished it was April and the fish spawning! But like they say, a bad day fishing is a better than a good day working. Until next trip...
