    A nice fish but looks thin to be 14 lbs. I have a 28'' Bass on my wall and it was 11 lbs. Not saying it did'nt weight 14lbs , but shure looks thin?

    If your gonna catch the wrong fish, might as well do it right! I think it looks a little thin, too, Nimrod, but ya can't tell fer sure from a pic, either.

    I'm sure it felt and looked like a 14 pounder on a cane pole, especially to a 13 yr. old kid.

    When someone says it was an 8... 11... 14 lb. fish, it usually means they didn't weigh it. When they say it was 13 lbs 15 oz or some such, you know they weighed it.

    It's a very nice catch for that young man, especially on a cane pole.
