Here's 2 pictures of the front of my boat. I wanting to put double seats in the front so I can Spider Rig out of it. Double seat pedastals in the floor I believe are out of the question, due to the storage boxes and the distance they need to be apart and under no circumstances do I want to use a Wally Marshall umbrella seat mount (no offense -just to big) If anyone has had the same problem I would love to see some pictures of what you've done or any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I had the Wally double down, it was good and stable but like you've mentioned, way to big and bulky. It was a pain moving it up and down as I motored from spot to spot. I sold it and was fortunate enough to buy the add-a-seat while they were still being made. It's a shame they are no longer manufacturing them.

If I didn't have mine, I would probably check around to see if someone could fabricate something similar to the add-a-seat. Cost would probably be the issue.

I keep hoping to get on here one day and see that someone else has begun making them again. Until then, I hope you find another good solution.

Give CallShy a pm and see what he can do for you He made my double seat for my bass boat and my compartments will open and the seat is not bulky it mounts to your seat pedestal.

I really prefer not to sell the double seat holders. This is due to lawsuit potential. There are people out there that will try and take advantage of every situation so I am just choosing to do this to help protect the business I have built over the past few years. I do not think there are people like that on this site but I do not know everyone. I hope everyone understands my situation and respects my decision.

Wise decision. I got my part by the way.

For now, use two 5 gallon or 7 gallon buckets with padded lids. Dip them about 1/3 full of water and they will set where ever you want them. When you are done, dump and stack together.

This is actually a pretty comfortable seat. Small and compact when folded. the doesn't cut into your legs as bad as some regular folding seats. I use this one for dove hunting or kids ball game.

This works and a fab shop should be able to build. You can do something similiar with wood, it would just be heavier and bulkier.

You might check out Tite Lok. Seems they used to make a double seat system. I am not sure if they still make it or not, but i have seen some in use over the years on the tournament trails.

Please pardon the dog, didn't have any other pics. Paul built this for the Xpress we used to have and it worked really well. 2 x 4 frame, plywood top, pin fit directly into center seat base.

I don't know what superstructure there is immediately fore of the compartment doors, but it looks like a couple of Swivel-eze flush base mounts would work there nicely.

I have an '02 Bass Tracker that appears to have about the same front deck space and I have two of them mounted in a similar location and it gives ample room.

Photobucket is down right now doing maint. so I can't link you to pics of my setup right now. If you are interested send me a PM and I will hook you up with some pics.

Additional pedestal bases can be installed on your boat. The honkin' big hole going through the deck does provide some consternation and quite a bit of puckerage though. Did it on my Champion and you can do it on that Triton.

Measure 2,412 times and drill once.

I've got a Tite-Lok that I don't need, but it would be a PITA to ship.

Mrs. Stalker, that's the first weenie dog I've ever seen that was trained to do a Captain Morgan pose. LOL.

Swampdaddy, here's a couple of pics of how I installed the flush mount swivel-eze bases.

Believe I had to cut 1-1/2' hole w/ hole saw to accept the pocket on the seat base.

By far the best way to go if you have room for the extra bases.

Extra basses is what my Lund has. There is 3 across the front deck and if you have someone to sit next to just use the two outside ones and if no one else just use the middle one.

Hey Swamp I am about to do the same thing to the front of my Skeeter. Looks like you could put your pedestals about a foot behind the original hole and to the side where all your storage doors meet where they make a corner. That way you can still open all your doors. I wanted a little more room between the seats so I am using the offset poles. The ones that look like an S. I wish I could show you a picture but like WB said I am a little worried about cutting two big ole holes in the front of my boat. On my boat I am able to pull out a dry compartment area and access the area under my deck. Hope this helps you out.::confused:

Here is a picture of where I am going to put my bases. This would be similar to your deck and you can still use all of the storage areas. Using the offset poles will give you an extra foot between the chairs. Hope this helps you out.

Added two extra bases to the front of my Ranger and they work well. I ended up getting the offset pedestals and it gives me alittle more leg room up front.[http://i874.photobucket.com/albums/ab309/1buffalo3/PICT0003.jpg.

There's always a but. And mine's a bit larger than average. The build up is good but the right side seat is leaning toward the(unsupported) outside just a shave. With my weight a little support from the upright to the end of the seat mount crosspiece would be in order. That is a real good looking set up though. And, of course, set up for HiTeks. I believe my brother and I would be real comfortable on that. I thought of having something similar to that made but my hatches won't support the weight and would be in the way. 2 people my size, that close to the front of the boat, just might make it play submarine:eek:.

Adding two extra seat bases is the best way to do it.

It's a titelok setup. I can adjust the seats to sit anywhere on the base.
