    Default Truman Sat & Sun

My son and I fished out of Bucksaw Sat evening for a couple of hours, and on Sunday morning till noon or so. Did pretty well both days, caught a bunch of fish; didn't keep any Saturday, but kept a real nice limit Sunday. Some nice fish, had 2 or 3 Sunday that went right at 13 inches, 10 or so that went 10-12, and 2 or 3 right at the 9 inch mark. Prolly caught 50-60 fish total. Easily our best trip in well over a month and a half. Several hit it real hard, but most you could hardly tell you had a bite at all, real lite; had to watch the line for movement, or the rod tip to see it bend ever so slightly. Quit fishing Sunday when the 4 dozen minnows ran out or we might still be out there! Man, it was a fun one.

All were caught in 15-25 FOW in the flats, 10-12 feet deep on average. Down river from the marina.
We do not want the gift of a fish; neither do we expect a lesson on fishing; what we direly need is a chance to fish

Glad you and your son did well. I agree about the bite, most were very light but some of the hardest hits came from the smaller fish. Good seeing yall again at the dock. I hope it keeps getting better. Broke my trolling motor again or I would have gone out Sunday.
