Any Kissimmee/Hatchineha reports?

Will be heading to Lake Kissimmee the weekend after the Superbowl. Any reports from this weekends speck bite?

Well, we got back from our fishing trip from the Kissimmee and Hatchineha area. The fishing wasn't that great for us, other guys were just tearing them up. We all seemed to be fishing in the same area, but they must've been concentrated. I was marking all sorts of fish on the depthfinder, and to think with the coldfront approaching, the fishing would have been better. With the full moon being on the weekend, the night bite was definitely on. We contemplated loading up the boat and going but without knowing the area too well and the amount of beer being consumed, it would not have been a good idea. We did catch some specks but not the amount that others we catching. As cold as it was, the bass fishing was slow too.
If you guys haven't been in this area before, I definitely recommend it. We stayed at Camp Lester, Leo and Joanne have a nice place going. They are extremely wonderful people and we'll definitely be back. The scenery was beautiful, bald eagles were everywhere, it was nice getting away from the saltwater for a change. We all got together for a buddies bachelor weekend, we all had a good time. It's hard going to a place you've never been before and immediately start catching fish. We mostly fished Hatchineha because of the direction the wind was coming from, Kissimmee was a little rough. From the reports we were getting, they were catching specks from the deepwater to the cypress trees and anything with white in it was the color of choice.
