    Pete,

    Phil was the starting quarterback at La. Tech in the late 60's ahead of Terry Bradshaw.He turned down a career in the NFL because he had already missed 4 seasons(college) of duck hunting.He wasn't going to miss anymore! awesome testimony!

    And I thought I was about a bubble off level when it came to hunting ducks!
    Maybe I was back in the day, but my beard has always been short, and I quit painting my face when I was a Junior at LSU (I didn't get it all off one morning before class and got a lot of snickers from some of the girls I was trying to hit on! )
    Anyway, he sounds like my kind of guy. Appreciate the info!
