Oologah/ Talala Creek question...

I've heard over the past few months of living here, that this is one of the best areas of the lake to crappie fish. I took a drive up there and think I found it this morning. The was a small one lane boat ramp, with about 10 trucks with trailers there this morning, so I'm almost sure this was the area.

Question though. If one was to put a boat into this area, are the fishing holes back east towards the main lake? It looked like if you went towards the west, there wasn't much cover to fish at back there.

Just curious as I'd like to get a nice meal of crappie sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Towards the main lake would be I would guess good right now and in a month or so towards the back Soon if not now the fish will start stacking up in the mouths of the creeks waiting to go back and spawn I havent been fishing but gonna start real soon as work is almost caught up for a little while
