    Default Fishing trip logs?

How much of what information does everyone log for their fishing trips?
Do you use paper forms, special software, a homemade spreadsheet, or some other system?

Bill- Were your baits & presentations so standard that you didn't need to keep track of colors, patterns, depths, etc.?

I have a spreadsheet similiar to BB's, and also note, arrival and departing time, and the barometer. Then I insert a comment box, and details about the day that may help me on another trip

Do you keep both the water depth and also your bait depth, or is the water depth a function of coordinates of the spots you fish?

I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do it, as long as you record the info that helps you have more productive time on the water. You could add or subtract anything you wanted, just start a spreadsheet and go from there. It will take a couple season or so of info, before your log book becomes really helpful.

Note there are columns for starting and ending barometric pressure. I started noting that later. I never kept track of depths and baits as they vary so much for me. You could add a lot more to it. I was just trying to keep it narrow for printing.
