    Default Long Handle Net

Saw a guy the other day with a landing net that had a handle about 10 feet long. The net itself wasnt all that big....just right for crappie. Was meaning to ask him where he got it but when i looked around he was gone out of the creek. Does anyone know where you can get one of these. They would really come in handy with 12 foot rods that I use. Thanks Billy

Billy, I see those a lot down here in Louisiana. The ones I'm talking about are for crabbing. If you live anywhere near saltwater, you might try in a saltwater fishing supply store. They would handle a crappie.---Pooch

BPS or Cabalas will have them or most tackle shops any more have them. They use them a lot walleye fishing because the fish get spooked as they get close to the boat so have to have a long handled landing net.

Yeh, I'm in NC near the coast you can get'm at gas stations here. Don't know suppliers. If it's like what I'm thinking(crab net) it's cheap aluminum/nylon. If so I've always taken the end cap off, put a stiff broom handle in it. That way I can break it down when not in use. Works good. If I getta hog I always jump in after'm. Scared they might break the handle. LOL
This only my opinion, but nothing you can say will change my mind. That makes it a FACT.

I aGREE 100% WITH POOCH...That's exactly what I use. A crabbing net that has about a 6 foot handle. Works great...

You can get a cheap trout net from Wally World and mount it on a long handle. Later R & R
