    Default Vermilion Bay Update

Man, the bay's salinity has recently topped 9 ppt, the water along the west bank has improved to a foot of visibility, the cocahes are thick thick thick, and the shrimp are reaching bar-b-quing size!
Dennis and I got six fair reds yesterday AM on flies before the wind picked up - you know, that forecast 5 to 10 that usually ends up at 15! :p Still, there are fish, they are fishable, and it should only get better. Fish tight to the grass - and keep a watch over your shoulder for diving birds. It's speck time!

Good to hear that Pete, I hope this tropical weather don't screw it up again. Thanks for the report and good fishing,

Yeah, PPG, we have to share the wealth. After all, this is Louisiana - with PLENTY of wealth!
    At least, in the bayou...
Hope you get yourself a bunch of it this fall, and give my best to Linda!
    And that's sincerely!
