    Doc,
Daughter's Birthday today, so I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. I also have a speaking engagement tomorrow morning, so I need to get my beauty sleep! Hope it goes well, I'll call you today.

I did catch some small shad on Cypress over by the dam by the water outlet, even though no water was flowing...

I did catch several cats on cut shiners, though.
    All fishing, all the time!

well, we only caught one fish tonite, but boy was she a hawg. i bet she will go 20 pounds. she is in an icechest, i will weigh and clean her tomorrow morning. the dang wind would not lay down, so out noodles were scattered probably 3/4 of a mile across the lake. it was just too difficult to monitor them all. so we just picked them up and came home.

had fun, at least the wind kept the bugs off.

    will post a pic tomorrow

Hey Doc, there is a lake about 30-35 miles south of where I live that is loaded with catfish, but it is bad for the wind. What they are doing there is to tie a brick to the bottom of the jugline and then tie a drop loop at whatever depth they are wanting to fish. This helps to keep the jugs from floating all over the lake. Congrats on the big one.

    Noodles???
Do you mean similar to Spaghetti noodles?
Is that a form of "Sugar Sack" that will attract and hold bait fish?
I just wish I could be better at fishing. Or maybe luckier!:D

Hey Doc, next time you noodle Cypress in the summer, hit either one end of the lake or the other!

On one end, go past the spillway, past the condos to where it starts shallowing up & throw the noodles there. You will be about in front of the last few boathouses. We do good there in the summer, late evenings & at night.

On the other end, launch at the 162 bridge & drop your noodles from the bridge out toward the main lake. We usually do better there from just before daylight until around 10am or the heat runs us off.
