Tuscarawas River

Heading out the door to try the river today for some slabs. Anyone else out there river fish for crappies? We are going to launch from the new ramp in the town of Tuscarawas. Will post results.

I've caught a lot of crappies out of the Tuscarawas river. Usually on white twisters or minnows. Last spring i got one that was 13 1/2in. on a chub under a bobber. I get some nice ones out of the Hocking river also.

i used to catch alot of crappie from the tusc river but its been about 5 years since i actually fished for them. i usually catch a couple dozen every year while im smallmouth fishing on 4 inch tubes. most of the crappie i catch from the tusc are over 12 inches long.
