Default any oxbow crappie after river leaves?

These were caught after the river receeded. Caught them on the fall last spring and summer on Dacus Lake in West Memphis, Arkansas.

He sure is Mr. Frank, I left Dacus alone last year cause I was tearing them up in Helena. Dacus is about 5 miles from me. My poor pet fish.

Hey jimfish, looks like the river made it in Dacus last week. It might be a good place to go here before long.

been watching rier stages, looks like nextweek might be worth a try,i like it on a slow fall, plus we can fish the whole lake,2/3 of been colsed off for duck hunters but thats over this week end. Had more pic from last year at dacus but i think some little person got hold of gramps camera and thats that.

Jimfish, do you ever fish Island 40 chute. I have a few times. I never really have any luck there. I guess I don't know how to fish it. Though, I do at certain times of the year go there to see all the Hummingbirds the people feed there. It is a sight to see. There are thousands of them flying.

For the last two or three times that I've been to Isl 40, I haven't done any good. I struck out the last time I was there, and decided not to go back for a few years. That chute has not produced for the past few years, or at least not like it used to.
