    It really depends on what type of fishing you're going to do. Long pole for doodlin or short rod for casting?

    The pole I like to use is the Tuff-Lite Crappie Master by b'n'm. It is telescopic and has line guides and a reel seat. You can attach any little ultralight reel to it (you don't really need them for their drag, etc.). Take a look at the b'n'm website. https://secure.redmagnet.com/bnmpole...67&SubCatID=22

    I just use the fly rods that are not being used for trout at the time. Have a couple of Diawa "under spins" for them. Works really good for the wife and I.
    A gun in hand is a lot better than a cop on the phone.
