Gentlemen: Plan to be out your way in about a month on vacation. Which lake would you suggust to fish for crappie. I fish here in Kansas about twice a week and enjoy the thump/tug of a crappie. Yes it hot here right now been in the 100 degrees temp for the most of the week. Fish early in the morning and leave the lake around noon, little later if they biting good.

^^^ what he said. There is a bunch of guys hitting Roosevelt this weekend from what I hear so hopefully the reports will be good. The news has been quiet. I haven't been crappie fishing for over a month now. I did manage to catch a new personal best LMB the other day though. 6.5lbs :D I am going to head out again for some LMB/catfish action in a couple of days. Might head to the Black River to try for some smallies next week. My buddy said he wants to go and he has the 4x4 so it will depend on him.

I fish Patagonia once a week. Been doing great on bass and fair on crappie. Pulled in a 14" crappie last week. That lake has some nice crappie if you can find them

I went up to the White Mountains for Labor Day and did some trout fishing. We did ok. Caught a few 15" fish but the rest were pretty small. Nice weather and beautiful scenery though. I am going to try to get up to Willow Springs soon and fish it up LOL Haven't been to that Lake since last year.
