OUCH!!! hope there is no infection going on! never got bit by a hook that bad, but last year a big flathead threw the trotline hook while I was trying to wrestle him into the boat and it sunk in the back of my hand. Fortunately it hit bone before the barb was under the skin.

Wowser!!Did it go thru on its own or did you push it to cut the barb.

People that have never done it think running lines is a lazy mans way of fishing..but it is actually more work, especially if your alone.I always keep a couple open knifes in reach..I should reall get a neck sheath for when I'm out running alone.

Thats going to be tender for a few days-hope ya don't work with your hands.

That brings a whole new meaning to "giving someone the finger".

Good luck, hope it heals well and if I piss you off while driving down the road, I will know it's you that flipped me off

never used finger for bait before, but it looks like it stays on the hook well I hate that for you. It hurts just looking at it.
