    Default Eagle Creek Lake Indiana

I took my son today to Eagle Creek for some cats. We managed to land 32 with the Largest being 6.5 pounds and we had five that went 5 pounds then they went down from there. We had a blast the action was fast. Here is a picture of him holding two five pounders. We landed three of them at the same time. All fish were weighed and turned loose.

Looks like fun. Glad you and your son got to spend time together fishing.

Good job. What a smile and memory. Priceless.

Take a look at my website at the boat pictures. I have rod holders off the back of the boat and off the front as well. I use the back ones for the lines straight behind the boat and I have two poles off the front one on each side using planner bobbers to pull the line of to the side.
I use big slip bobbers with 1 to 2 oz weights under them and then I attach a big barrell swivel with about a 12 to 16" lead to the circle hook. The barrell swivel keeps the weight and the bobber away from the hook and fish.
I made some big bobbers out of pool noodles and 1/2" pvc. These are the ones I place a 2 oz weight on for the big baits and live bluegill.
I then troll just fast enough to keep the baits moving SLOW....
    I hope this helps.
