    Default Southern Pro jig

Watching the Midwest Crappie show covering the 2009 CrappieUSA Classic, I noticed almost every team said they were using Southern Pro jigs. What exactly does that mean?

Southern pro is a plastic baits mfg. company and they make some real good stuff, if you use plastics. Their curl tails have lots of action and get lots of use trolling is lots of southern lakes. I'm sure there's other stuff they make, but that's a start. I'm sure others will bring up what I left out. They don't sell feathers!!

Southern Pro is a brand name and they're some really hot Crappie takers!

    SOUTHERN PRO INDEX

I swear by the 2" hot grubs, I've caught more Crappie off of them than I have live minnows!

    Default What kind of plastic.

I know Southern Pro sells several different styles of plastic baits. I was wanting to know specifics when the say "we were using Southern Pro jigs". Are the talking grubs, tubes, shad, stingers, slugs, worms or some other style.

you hear it alot because they are big sponsors. doent mean that everyone useing them. I know for a fact I had 3 people using my baits that won cusa events and told on site what they were using. but when it went to press is was of course sounthern pro. You can look back and see in press releases. no one ever has won using anything that wasnt from a sponsor. If they won not using a sponsored item then they dont tell what they are using.(or change it )

They prolly don't want you to know exactly which one they were using or they would be more specific. If I had to guess, I would say they're using the 2" Southern Pro Hot Grubs. Usually a tricolored curly tail grub.

    2 INCH HOT GRUBS

As a matter of fact I picked up 350 of them today because I found them on sale at Academy Sports for $1.88 for a 50 ct. box.
