    Default First Black Nose Crappie...

Caught this monster :p in my local lake, usually not good fishing but they are draining it to plant a food source for migrating waterfowl to try an keep them out of the gulf where the tar balls are .

Anyways thought I would share because I like to look at peoples pictures on here and I don't really post alot of them but when I can I do.

That little guy's belly makes him look mighty hungry. And his tail looks like he's had to fight for what little food he can find.

Yeah, alot of the fish we caught were chewed up! I think that there isn't enough room for em' and they are not finding alot of cover to hide from the darn "trash fish"

Could be no one's keeping any and their getting stunted???? Draining might in this case actually help. Talk to the fisheries biologist who's going to be in charge of the project.

I'm afraid that would be a waste of time, they only care about the hunting on the lake and not the fishing...

Pretty tough when they don't look at the overall picture of the resource

True words Fatman, I would like to see them care a little more about the fishing...

But at least the duck hunting is good, guess you gotta have "either or" around here. I respect the cause I guess....
