Night Fishin!!

SO here's the deal. I am an avid young fisherman. Been doin it since i could walk. I have night fished plenty of times and always with decent to excellent results.

But, my predicament stands as i don't know too much about the new crappie lights that are out there.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what their personal opinions are on what colors, how much light, and what brand is the best?

Right now i have 2 old fish n lite's that are stryofoam and possibly out of date.

Welcome kid. You might try the brinkman starfires they are your best bet.

Yea, what Gooch said. They are WAY better than floating lights or lanterns for sure.

When they quite working then replace them.

If your lake is clear to lightly stained try the green flourescent sinking/floating lights. Less battery drain than they halogens and you can use them for other things too. They don't need to be submerged to turn them on like the halogens....good luck and welcome to the forum...smedley

Thanks again but does it affect anything if one is flourecent green and the others clear?

I have both and I cant tell enough difference in the cheap floating light than the submurgable flourence light.If your floating lights still are in working order I would stick with them no need spending extra money on something you already have.Take the money and buy you a fishing pole that you know will catch a fish you know what I mean.

Ohh yeah i hear ya, the old nightblasters will do fine. But then again i have every pole in every shape and size so i might as well buy a couple extra dozen minnows for all those fish ill be catching. Or maybe even a sixer.

There ya go then when those lights quit replace them you might even use the extra money to buy some of this liquid gold to go in the boat or truck.Good luck
