Default Do you guys cast the Okuma Magda Pro MA-15DX

when pulling crankbaits or do you just let your line run out the back of the boat ? Just wandering which way is the most accurate ? Just finish putting 10lb test right up to with 1/8 inch of being full (like G-3 advised me to) because the chart from the bandit showing how deep they will run with a certain amount of line out says that this is based on 10lb mono.

    thanks

They are not made for casting.....just place the rod in the rod holder and pull the lever on the reel and let the line out......when it gets to your depth move the lever the other way to stop it.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I usually don't run my cranks further than 50 ft back cause our little reservoir isn't very deep. I just let the line pull itself out.

I don't cast mine. I just open the lever and let the crank pull the line out.

I have tried to cast em with little luck. I flip the lever and let the crank pull off the line. On my 8' rods casting works OK but on 10' and 12' it's not pretty :D

Try it with a 14' and 18'er I just let the crankbait pull the line out.
