    Question transducer?

i,m new to the forum but love the info. i am mounting my transducer for my matrix 17 on my trolling motor in the front of my jonboat so i will have a view from my fishing position on the front.is it going to cause any problems with the unit.i really want to get readings from the front.has anyone tried this?

It's fairly common to mount transducers on tm's...just make sure you have the right transducer and mounting bracket for that purpose...mounting bracket is usually a hose clamp (at least that's what they look like).

    Good Luck

    Default Ok

How old is your trolling motor? Some older TMs generate a lot of rf noise. Don't tie (wire ties) your transponder wiring to the TM power wiring. This can cause strange indications at the Sonar display. Just to let u know....
