I can't freakin wait! I'm anxious to see what's gonna happen in Manhattan this year. Love to see 'em whup on Nebraska on that thursday night match-up! Buuuut we'll see. (This off-season, I went from a strong dislike of the Huskers to hatred. Freakin traitors.)

I predict that I will need less alcohol at the tailgates this year because the Cats are continuing to improve. (RP's final season almost required an intervention! ) I also think they will find a way to beat Texas again, which is fun to watch.:D
I am just pullin' your leg.:D

Fish Taxi - what is your prediction on KSU? Do you think they win 8 games too?? Maybe I am just crazy thinking that is a stretch....But I do not think it is impossible with their schedule.

As for KU I think they should get to 6 wins and if the stars align perfectly 7, but I think the 5-7 record is possible. But I like to think we can handle KSU at home

    Chad,

I didn't pick the wins and then fill out the schedule ahead of time. I break each team down and pick each game before I counted the total wins. I always like to make my picks before camp starts because everything can change with one blown knee. I was quite suprised by my picks also.

KSU Road Games I picked as win. 2 Solid, 2 toss ups.
North Texas I am not to worried about.
CU is one that gets me. If it was not for Snyder I might have said loss but I just don't think Hawkins has what it takes to win in the Big 12 but this game is toss up for me.
Baylor it all depends- if their QB has a great game they could win, but with out him or at 1/2 speed from a knee injury they don't have much at all, but KSU could be the same way. Purple glasses toss up goes to snyder this year, he realllllllly likes this team and that says alot.
KU, I know you don't like it but I talk with a lot of DIE HARDS close to the program and the don't think they win 2 games this year so I don't know what to think. You see I feel differently. You guys loose every thing but your O line and just lost two starters last week for the season due to injury. It's a rivalry game the Snyder knows how to win so until Gill shows me something I am a Snyder lean.

That is the meathod to my Madness. The game that scares me the most out of the three is still Baylor and their QB, granted Hawkin and CU we never play good there so who knows. These are just my mad board rambling waiting till Saturdays get fun again.

Nick- I pick my games the same way. I think the order of how you them finishing is probably a good bet. I just think that its gonna be hard for KSU to finish 5-3 in the league with only 3 home games in conference. There will be a slip up somewhere. They will be better this year I just don't see the consistency.

As for KU I am probably being to hopeful at 6 wins but the schedule is so darn easy that it shouldn't be tough. Only one of the lineman hurt is gone for the season and we have some decent players back on Defense. But really it will come down to Pick and our group of backs. We have to be able to run the ball well or Pick will get eaten alive and we will only win 2-games.

My company is a sponsor of KU athletics and I get to go to a lot of smoozer events and have met Gill and the staff and have heard them talk a lot about this team. I rhink we will be in more games than people think. Not sure we have the talent to win them, but will be in them.

And just went to one of those events at AFH for basketball last week and man is the renovations going to be awesome. Self said Selby is the best 18 year old he has ever had the opportunity to coach. I know everyone is thinking this may be KSU's year in bball, but not so fast my friend. Its gonna be some fun!

Not trying to be a smart azz, Chad, but my previous post is the only prediction I am going to throw out at this point. Let me see the UCLA game and then I will feel like I have some idea about the team's potential.

If nothing else, at least a Snyder-coached team should have good fundamentals and discipline even if he still doesn't have the best talent. I guess we'll all find out before too long.:D

    Chad-Taxi
With new head coaches this year and new systems at both schools which team do you think has the edge? Guess will have to wait and see what happens between the white lines! Let the fun begin :D
