I've been a fan of the show since it started. I watched the episodes on last night where Phil died and then when his sons and the rest of the captains were in the bar remembering him. Very touching.

I can't believe we can buy crabs at any price considering how hard these guys have to work to get 'em.

Hard life for sure. Those guys are definately taking a lot of stuff we dont hear about too. It's only been touched on a couple times most recently with Phil's kid and the pain pills. Edgar Hansen's been hitting the opiates hard this year too. People can't work for 40 hours straight without chemical assistance. Otherwise there'd be a lot more man over boards...

this weeks episode is where everyone finds out he dies...cant wait to see it...i had a buddy in high school his dad went to alaska to try it..he lasted about 2 days and he was done...said it was so much physical labor and long hrs...myself i dont see how a body can go 40+ hrs without shuting down...id like to give it a try just to see how and what they go though, tv doesnt give it justice...........
