Fatboy's Character

A couple of months ago my fishing partner and I were planning to fish a lake near where Fatboy lives and I contacted him to see if he could recommend any hot spots. He met us at the lake and showed us a number of his fishing hot spots. It takes one heck of a man to share his crappie hot spots and I simply wanted everyone on the board to know what kind of man and fisherman Fatboy is.

When we first met, I was really hesitent to call by his nick name as he is one big guy, but he is a great guy.

I just wanted to share this with everyone on the board.

i know what you mean about being hesitant to call someone you dont know by their nickname that youre not used to using when talking to someone. I shot a wedding a few years ago and the grooms momma's nickname was porkchop. I had the hardest time gettin used to callin her porkchop infront of all those people that was dressed in tuxedos and gowns. she insisted i call her porkchop. now when i happen to run into her in some store or something, Its "Hi Porkchop, hows it going"

Last time I saw him he was about 6'3" and 350. Sounds like a wall hanger to me...ha....... He is treated like family at my home. H*ll, he more like family than some of me own relatives..............

We "met" Fatboy on line earlier this year and finally got to see his mug in person this summer. He's a great guy and his devotion to his wife and kids shows. The folks on this board that we've met (Fatboy, CanePole, Jerry Blake, Darryl Morris, Roy, JWhite and Frank, just to name a few . . .oh wait, I almost forgot, even that 1Weezer fella!) have been outstanding people and the best friends a crappie addict could find!

J is a great friend...He gives me a wake up call every morning. He is a true family man. I met him at Watts Bar and knew who he was because of the way his boat wrapped around him...The next time I saw him he took me for a ride in his Lake Rocket...I'm glad he got rid of that thing,my glasses are now a permanent fixture....:D

Although I've never had the opportunity to meet FB, He has been so welcoming and friendly. Truely, one of the many that has made me feel like I belonged even though I'm a female. He speaks of his family with love you can feel, and of building dreams to reality.
I don't know about hanging him on any walls..haha. But I'd be honored to call such a fella a friend.

I hope to meet FAtBoy some day. I have met a few off the board and so far I like everyone of them.
So If I get to make it to AR in April I hope to meet a few more.
