Frogg Toggs for my money, EXCEPT, the zippers are not 'over engineered' at all. I have new, heavy duty zippers put in mine. Keeps ya dry, and they breathe.

Frogg Toggs suck ! I can attest to that from being caught in a major thunderstorm on Smithville yesterday . I was soaking wet at the weigh in .

Stearns makes some good raingear. It feels like Guidewear and is comfortable in summer and in winter with a fleece under layer.

I would agree with Tn on the frog toggs. I used them twice early in the year and was wet both times.

On Sunday I was fortunate enough to have a partner who was prepared and had two sets of Gor-Tex rain suits in the boat. With the amount of driving fast back and forth between storms to get back to the bridge I was dry.

They cost more but are worth it in my opinion. Lee

I use L.L. Bean stowaway rain suit (gore tex). The best rain suit I have ever owned. Light, breathable, withstood 8 hours of hard rain and the only thing wet was my feet and hands. You will pay for it, but well worth it.

well since it's already been said, I also started out with frogg toggs and the suit sucked, I got soaked bad in a rain storm, they just didn't do the trick for me, didn't have to be a hard rain either, from loz to aurora soaking wet ain't fun.

In cold weather I wear Cabela's guide wear bibs and jacket. Still works great after almost 15 years. Would buy them again if needed. In warm weather I wear Cabela's PacLite Rainy River jacket and pants. Had them for two years. They're holding up well and don't leak. My two cents worth.:)

Amen to that.
Iffin' you have the short jacket and pants, the water will roll down your pituty crack when bending over to get fish. Lots of tourney fisherpersons have wet pants with the short frog toggs.
Always go with bibs with rain gear.
Jacket to the back of mid thigh is good too.
