Depends on how thick the plywood is.
Just got mine gonna mt. tomorrow are the wood screws that come with strong enough in plywood or do you need a plate underneath and through bolt them.

they worked fine for me. im sure the plywood in your boat is think enough. I dont know of many boat makers that use less than 3/4 inch plywood on the decks, even if its a half inch it will hold fine. Im a machinist and the rule of thumb with threads is that if you get three full threads in whatever, it should hold. But of course there are sometime exceptions.

Use the screws that came with them.....they will hold in the plywood just fine. I have four sets of four HyTeks mounted that way...no problems.

I tested them today everything A-Ok . Now if my seat bases will come in from grizzly I will be set. Thanks for the input.
