Welcome to the Board!!This time of year you should try to fish structure in deep water[brush piles,laydowns,humps,breaklines,ect.].As the water temps. rise the Crappie will move closer to spawning areas. As for what to use, I prefer 1/16 oz. jigheads with mini tubes[squrmin squirt, ect]. charlie Brewer Sliders are a good bet too!!I almost always use something with Chartruese, orange/chart, black/chart., ect. . Hope I"ve helped you some!!

I'm in Lexington, KY ... fish several KY lakes, Watts Bar Lake in TN, and once in awhile I make it down to Weiss Lake in Ala. Wherever I go, I cast jigs to wood/concrete/docks as my primary method. After that I cast jigs to submerged wood cover, then consider using live bait or trolling as a last resort. Rarely do I fish deeper than 20ft.
