went up past mecca a little ways caught 8 shorts and 2-12s didn't sit on spots for very long. fishing very tough for me today fish were very very finicky ,jig was not moving at all when fish inhaled it wind out of east water color still good no water being ran yet. trying again fri. am. good luck to all.

Progressive Marine Insurance SUCKS!. If you hit a submerged object they will try to prove manufacturers defect....stay away from them.

Went N. of W, Roberts-Mecca area. 1 short at 6 am, nothing else by 9 am. Put cranks on
and had 2-13, 2-12, 6 smallr but keepers, 3 white bass by 11:30. Windy but fun trolling.
Had 1-12 and 1-13, and 1white on at same time, what a blast.

Anybody ever catch striped bass out of Smithville? Caught 3 maybe 15-16" fish, one each day. I hear there are none in this lake. Forgot I had camera fone, won't next time.
Same results today but no 13's. Ben

Surely you jest about the stripers. White bass I believe but stripers? It would be a dream come true to have a population of stripers or hybrids on Smithville.
